HLX is concerned with international cooperation, conflict resolution, and leadership exchange programs in the United States. To apply for the USA Summer Exchange Program, no IELTS or TOEFL are required. The program will cover all costs.

The Hansen Leadership Exchange Program (HLX) is a unique opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in an organization. In exchange for a semester of full-time study at an international university, participants complete a full-time internship with a company or nonprofit.
HLX participants gain a valuable perspective on leadership and management from their internships. They also develop skills in public speaking, teamwork, and communications.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Hansen Leadership Exchange Program, all applicants must meet the following requirements:
NON-US STUDENTS: (from conflict zones and/or social strife)
- Upper division undergraduate or graduate student with a professional interest in international relations, diplomacy, international economic development, or related fields.
- Students must be between the ages of 20 and 26 when they begin the program.
- Outside of the classroom, candidates must have demonstrated leadership potential in their community, nation, or region.
- Verify the candidate’s English proficiency in writing with an academic adviser.
- Have a valid international passport and, if necessary, a U.S. visa by the start of the program.
- Those who have never visited the United States will be given priority.

STUDENTS FROM THE UNITED STATES: (Students from any university in the United States)
